A homeowner in the Niagara Region was experiencing water leakage in their basement. The water was seeping through the walls and causing significant damage to the flooring and walls. The homeowner contacted Trombetta Construction Materials for a solution.
The challenge was to find a way to stop the water from leaking into the basement and to repair the damage that had been caused. The solution needed to be permanent and cost-effective.
Trombetta Construction Materials proposed a solution that involved using a combination of products. First, they used a hydraulic cement to stop the water from leaking through the walls. They then used a self-leveling compound to repair the damaged flooring. Finally, they used a waterproof membrane to protect the basement from future water damage.
The project was completed in two phases. In the first phase, the hydraulic cement was used to stop the water from leaking through the walls. The cement was injected into the cracks in the walls and allowed to dry. This created a waterproof barrier that prevented the water from seeping into the basement. In the second phase, the self-leveling compound was used to repair the damaged flooring. The compound was poured onto the floor and allowed to level itself out. This created a smooth, even surface that was easy to clean and maintain. Finally, the waterproof membrane was used to protect the basement from future water damage. The membrane was applied to the walls and floor of the basement and allowed to dry. This created a barrier that prevented water from seeping into the basement.
